Shift work is involved. Salary: will be $10.00 to $10.50 per hour for a 40 hour week. Education: The applicant should have completed high school. Experience: at least three years’ experience. Work Setting: Retail establishment Supervisory Experience: Retail salespersons and sales clerks, Cashiers Specific Skills: Supervise and co-ordinate sales staff and cashiers, Assign sales workers to duties, Sell merchandise, Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages, Maintain specified inventory, Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters Additional Skills: Prepare work schedules, Hire and train or arrange for training of staff, Order merchandise Security and Safety: Criminal record check Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Combination of sitting, standing, walking Work Site Environment: Non-smoking Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence Work Location Information: Rural community, On-site customer service Ability to Supervise: 10 people or less Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning Other Information: The Coordinator will work closely with management towards the delivery of an exceptional visitor experience at the Historic Gardens, with key areas of responsibility in admissions and retail.
