Terms: This is a temporary, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $12.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Work Setting: Trucking company, Warehouse, Cross-docking facility

Vehicle and Equipment Experience: Dollies and hand trucks, Pallet lifters

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment, Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products, Sort goods, Stack goods, Store cargo and materials, Transport and distribute materials and goods

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Finding information, Continuous learning

Other Information: Shifts may start as early as 6am and can be as long as 12 hours.
