Terms: This is a seasonal, full time job, which requires working days. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have some high school, completed high school, some college or technical training, completed college or technical training, some university, completed university.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Work Setting: Landscape contractor, Commercial establishment, Private home, Landscape maintenance

Type of Machinery or Equipment: Chain saw, Tractor mower, Weed trimmer/edger, Roto-tiller, Pick-up truck, Small engine equipment

Specific Skills: Assist with landscape constructions, Weed, prune and trim trees and plants, Cut grass, Rake/ collect refuse, Remove litter and garbage, Cart and spread topsoil and other materials, Lay sod or seed, Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees, Water lawns/gardens, Repair and maintain equipment, Write daily basic progress reports

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves, Ear plugs

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Ability to distinguish between colours, Walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Wet/damp, Dusty, Hot

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Drive manual transmission vehicle
