Terms: This is a seasonal, full time job, which requires working days and weekends.

Salary: will be $10.35 per hour for a 35 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have some university.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate.

Work Setting: Government, Recreational institution, Sports and fitness association or organization

Area of Instruction: Arts and crafts, Drama, Individual sports, Nature interpretation, Organized games

Type of Clients: Pre-school, Children, Teens

Area of Functional Expertise: Event planning and organization, Program planning and development, Program implementation and delivery, Program evaluation

Specific Skills: Schedule facility programs and staff, Co-ordinate facility sports, fitness and recreation programs and activities, Train staff and volunteers, Develop program budgets, Design, develop and deliver social/recreational programs

Additional Skills: Supervise professional staff, program leaders and instructors and volunteer staff, Recruit and select professional staff, program leaders and instructors and volunteers, Answer requests, inquiries and complaints, Perform administrative tasks, Use computer applications

Security and Safety: Child abuse registry check

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Willing to travel regularly, Public transportation is not available

Work Location Information: Rural community

Ability to Supervise: 3-4 people

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Computer use

Other Information: Must be returning to school in September.
