Credentials required: The applicant should have Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification, 4th Period Apprentice, Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 1 or A.

Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Systems: Rooftop (self-contained), Centrifugal cooling, Heat pump, Air motioning and circulation, Built up (split system), Humidification and de-humidification systems, Ventilation

Control Systems: Computerized monitoring, Electrical devices, Pneumatic devices, On-board diagnostics, Direct Digital Control systems

Specific Skills: Measure and lay out reference points for installation, Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components, Measure, cut and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment, Commission systems and test for leaks using testing devices, Perform routine maintenance and servicing, Interpret gas codes, Install, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems, Handle, recover and store refrigerants, Install, calibrate and repair control systems

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driver’s validity license check

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence
