Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $14.00 to $16.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 3 or D), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles)

Type of Travel: Short-haul, Local

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook

Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone, Satellite tracking (GPS) equipment

Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Plan travel schedules and routes, Pay and receive payments for goods, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, Perform preventive maintenance

Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service, Handle inquiries from customers

Security and Safety: Bondable, Driving record check (abstract)

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence
