Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $23.00 to $29.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification, 4th Period Apprentice.

Refrigeration Specialization: Supermarket, Transport equipment, Food wholesalers, Food processing industry

Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Systems: Rooftop (self-contained), Centrifugal cooling, Heat pump, Filtration, Air motioning and circulation, Built up (split system), Humidification and de-humidification systems, Ventilation

Control Systems: Energy conservation, Computerized monitoring, Electrical devices, Electronic and solid state, Pneumatic devices, On-board diagnostics, Programmable logic controllers (PLC)

Specific Skills: Commission systems and test for leaks using testing devices, Perform routine maintenance and servicing, Install, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems, Handle, recover and store refrigerants, Install, calibrate and repair control systems

Additional Skills: Coach and instruct apprentices

Security and Safety: Bondable, Driver’s validity license check

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Gloves

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Bending, crouching, kneeling
