Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and nights. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be $18.00 to $20.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Stationary Engineer 4th Class, WHMIS, CPR / First Aid Certificate, Driver’s License.

Work Setting: Electric power generation plants

Type of Equipment: High pressure boilers, Turbines, Valves, Gauges, Hand tools, Pneumatic controls

Specific Skills: Operate automated or computerized control systems, Monitor and inspect plant equipment, Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction, Perform routine equipment maintenance, Clean and lubricate machinery and components, Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities

Essential Skills: Reading text, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Computer use
