Terms: This is a temporary, part time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends.

Salary: will be $16.00 per hour for a 30 hour week.
Notes: milage paid.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training, completed university.

Experience: is an asset.

Work Setting: Community or neighbourhood centre

Target Groups or Clients: Adolescents, Families, Culturally diverse groups, Young offenders

Type of Community or Social Service: Early intervention programming for at-risk youth, Crime prevention

Specific Skills: Obtain information and prepare reports or case histories, Appraise clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services, Implement life skills workshops, Assess client’s relevant skill strengths and development needs, Conduct follow-up assessments, Develop, coordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community, Resolve conflict situations, Implement behaviour management programs, Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients, Develop service intervention logic models and outcome measures, Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research, Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs, Screen, recruit and train volunteers and support staff

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure

Transportation/Travel Information: Own vehicle, Willing to travel, Valid driver’s licence, Travel expenses paid by employer

Other Information: Coordinate crime prevention programming. The successful applicant will be working on a 3 year, federally funded intervention project.
