Terms: This is a casual, part time job Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have some high school, completed high school, some college or technical training, completed college or technical training.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, First Aid Certificate.

Work Setting: Community or neighbourhood centre

Target Groups or Clients: Persons with physical disabilities, Persons with learning disabilities

Specific Skills: Assess client’s relevant skill strengths and development needs, Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses, Provide personal services support to persons with special needs

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence

Work Location Information: Various locations

Essential Skills: Oral communication, Working with others, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing

Other Information: Residential Vocational Workers Course or equivalent in education/experience. Provide: Guidance & training in life skills; ability to implement Individual Support Plans and monitor progress.
