Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends.

Work Setting: Catering firm

Counter Attendant and Food Preparer Skills: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs, Portion and wrap foods, Stock refrigerators and salad bars, Keep records of the quantities of food used

Kitchen Helping Skills: Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment, Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas, Handle and store cleaning products

Bussing Skills: Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs, Load buspans and trays, Set tables, Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas, Replace linen, Assist food and beverage servers in formal service activities

Dishwashing Skills: Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Essential Skills: Reading text, Oral communication, Working with others, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Continuous learning

Other Information: Reliable, professional, flexible. Hours vary week to week depending on business. Mostly day shifts w some week ends/ evenings. Valid driver’s license. Heavy lifting and carrying up stairs.
