Terms: This is a permanent, part time job, which requires working days.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree, Early Childhood Education Assistant Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, First Aid Certificate.

Work Setting: Nursery school

Children’s Ages: 3 years, 4 years

Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills: Conduct and monitor activity programs designed for young children, Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them, Guide children in development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits, Observe children and report on observations to supervisor, Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings

Additional Skills: Maintain day care supplies and equipment, Assist in housekeeping duties, Interpersonal skills

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check, Medical exam

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilites: Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Site Environment: Non-smoking

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation
