Education: The applicant should have completed high school. Experience: at least a full year’s experience. Work Setting: Group home, Women’s drop-in centre Target Groups or Clients: Male, Female, Adolescents, Street population Type of Community or Social Service: Socio-economic needs or conditions (housing, nutrition, unemployment, financial assistance), Services for the homeless Specific Skills: Obtain information and prepare reports or case histories, Appraise clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services, Develop, coordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community, Resolve conflict situations, Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses, Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients, Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research, Screen, recruit and train volunteers and support staff Additional Skills: Administrative and office activities, Supervise staff, trainees or volunteers, Research techniques Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check, Child welfare check Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning Other Information: TCWC is seeking a Project Manager for the creation of a supportive housing option for youth at risk.
